Not so, cromwell is right whether he believes or not. Exodus 20:13 King James Bible says quite clearly 'Thou shalt not kill'.
So God would never tell people to kill anything, or anyone, is that right?

Kent is a safer place with Stone locked up, whether he committed that murder or not.
Judge not lest ye be judged yourself  :P

I love it when atheists use the Bible to try to make a point. At least it shows they know something about it, even if it is wrong. :P
Well I wasn't trying,I was making a point and it's not just bible is it it's the ethics?

Anyway I'm no expert but given a family half Protestant half RC and a brother who was going to be a vicar why wouldn't I know a bit.

You don't have to go to church or believe in god to recognise some christian values.

The translation is arguable.
This is true but modern translations tend to be less correct, I guess in an effort to make them more acceptable.

It's difficult to decide the case from afar. The jury were convinced, but they may have been misled.

Personally I will wait for the result of the Criminal Cases Review Commission investigation.

And it seems quite possible that Michael Stone didn't and had we still the death penalty he wouldn't be here anyway,as it is incarcerated for over two decades.

If it turns out it was Bellfield then Stone should be released as soon as and allowed what's left of his life lived in peace.
Every argument against capital punishment is in this story. Poor man if he really didn't do it how come he has paid the price? I see huge compensation.
