Spent years working at Shield Hall, stopping in digs at Balloch and Renton. I've seen a lot of the bars with the windows bricked up 😂
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Why not include Glaswegians and others from the industrial Lowland belt?  After all they're probably much less obese than your 'Mancs' etc. Maybe you think they'd be too drunk to participate. Dancing

Traditionally they did.

In Kent anyway. In June the local unemployed and unemployables would turn too and start picking the early spuds and fruit and carry on until November, with a few working on the roots and brassicas through the winter.

There would be endless tales in the press about farm workers claiming the dole while being paid cash in hand, but no one gave a toss because that sort of thing had been going on passage of the Elizabethan poor laws. But recently everyone has gotten very po faced about benefit fraud, which hasn't decreased but has resulted in a shortage of farm workers.
I think the scousers and mancs should be put to good use for the benefit of the british empire , and set  to working the fields myself borkie. Do you remember the scouser who posted on this forum called stevlin?

Whiny voice , eternal victim and stunk of a staffy dog? Didnt know northern ireland was a part of the uk , and demanded that he had a right to whine ?

If ever there is an expert on the benefit system , its a scouser. What we need to encourage them back into the fields is a scouse gang master who can educate them on what benefits they are due ,while the mancs do all the work . Scouse brain , and manc brawn , and the beauty of it is , only mancs understand the gutteral whiny noises scousers make.

Two tory councillors from aberdeen( or was it labour?) and buckinghamshire have claimed in seperate stories that unemployed mancs and geordies should be made to work picking fruit and veg in the fields of angus and the south east.

It would help both england and scotland during the employment crises , with 1.7 million job vacancies , and relieve the pessure of the beaches of dover from daily dinghy rides and gangmasters making a fortune out of the misery of illegal immigration.

What does everyone think?

Is this a viable solution  to solve the crises in areas like crop picking , or would it be a double edged sword with thousands of morbidly obese mancs and northern english descending on the tory shires of england and scotland , raping looting and pillaging in between picking crops while moaning about having nothing to eat but dripping and dry bread for mi tea!

Do we really want to see thick mancs in tracksuits with large chips on thier shoulders begging and thieving on kirriemuir high street , or causing uproar in sleepy kentish villages?

Not sure myself.

Could UK government now target Manchester City owner?

A British politician has made accusations against the Premier League club's owner, Sheikh Mansour, with links to Vladimir Putin and Syria's Bassar al-Asaad.

good old mancs helping russia.

Owner of Manchester City helps usher more Russian tycoons to UAE

While Sheikh Mansour has long been involved in cultivating UAE-Russia relations, the importance and complexities of that position have grown since Russia's invasion of Ukraine, sources say.

Outside the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan is best known as owner of English football champion Manchester City. At home, he's deputy prime minister and a powerful member of the royal family.

But Sheikh Mansour also has a behind-the-scenes role that's become increasingly important in recent months: Helping manage relationships with wealthy Russians looking to move money into the UAE, according to several people familiar with Abu Dhabi's engagement with Russians, who requested anonymity as the information isn't public.

Even as the U.S., EU and other countries have blitzed Russia with thousands of new financial restrictions, making it the world's most-sanctioned nation, the UAE hasn't imposed any. Officials in the Middle Eastern nation have taken the stance that Abu Dhabi respects international law but isn't required to follow measures implemented by specific countries and that the UAE has the right to adopt its own policies, several people familiar with their thinking said.

Other U.S. allies, including Israel and India, have taken a similar position.
That approach, though, has fueled concern among some Western officials who are worried about holes in their own sanctions programs. Earlier this month, Deputy U.S. Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo voiced Washington's worries about Russian tycoons moving assets to the UAE in a call with UAE officials, two people with knowledge of the discussions said
