Not sure I'd be too keen on the court of castration though ;)
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

I don't think they'll go ahead with that, they like to inflict misery and death is too quick. Besides, how many Russians languishing in US prisons?

As an experianced collector of other peoples stuff he must have known he was on dodgy ground in attempting to take said stuff out of the country . The guy is a fool '
From what I've read and heard, I have to agree, even though I feel some sympathy for the guy. He's just another hostage for extortion...
On climate change — we're talking, we're beginning to act, but we're still not doing enough...

Been in the news over the last couple of days . Feel for the guy and his family but  this is what happens when you have a british passport in countries that think they may be owed something .

More to the point whats it got to do with us ? The family complaining of lack of action from the foriegn office ,do me a favour .

Does he live in the UK,Does he pay taxes in the UK ?    No , then  go  complain to Malaysia about 'assistance ' and see how you get on .
Yes it has all happened before,we have people fighting in the Ukraine who are there by ideals or adventure, should they be taken by the Russians they must know the outlook isn't good.

The govt can make representations but if you go to places like this you have to think hard on your actions because if it goes pear shaped you're pretty much on your own.
