No you don't, you call people idiots, stupid, you tell them they no clue what they're talking about. And you refuse to put them on ignore "because you won't see what they're saying".

And when YOU get shown to be lying you disappear for a few days thinking people will forget, like getting a USA visa in case you got diverted.

If Brexit is still being widely discussed doesn't it show there's still an interest?

If Brexit is being brought into other discussions, isn't that an indicator of how broad it's impact is?

Or are you of the opinion that the Brexit argument has been won is now done and should be closed?

There are well-supported forums that revel in their abuse, posting of trash, and incessant duplication of topics. There are also well supported serious and single issue forums. But I've noticed that whatever their classification, most forums can attract abusive, abrasive and bigoted posters — there's something about posting online that encourages language that would get the poster a bop on the nose if said similarly in a pub.

Apart from a couple of specialised forums, I post here, and on some others, because I mostly enjoy voicing my opinion and joining in with whatever discussions are underway.

Getting back to the title topic, I was sorry when he was banned because I always felt I had the choice to either engage or ignore the plethora of pointless posts that the seemingly troubled character posted here...

The point being missed here is this forum is NOT a safe place which is why it is failing. If the people on here who continually lie about me, (which is legally actionable,) abuse and personally attack ALL THE TIME did so in real life to anyone they would risk physical attack.  (My case not by me but by the people I happened to be with.)

Every UK based politic discussion forum was and mostly still are Brexit obsessed.  Looking around the various political discussion fora I've been in over the years the ones that are highly active are either:

- stuffed with abuse, trash posting and duplicated discussions
or
- also have an active techie discussion base

I hope there is a future for at least one forum that supports serious discussions.

My problem is the personal abuse like the attack on me in the thread title and the lack of debate on the forum. Britain is going down the crapper at an ever increasing rate and there is zero serious debate about it.

Well I wish this forum good luck, though it's membership is not helped by posters leaving because they cannot handle the posting style of each other. I responded to your PM so you know whom I am talking about.

Perhaps you should delete my account and invite him back. He after all is not active on the other forum whilst I am. So if this little corner of the internet is too small for both of us, he might be your better bet.

And if I may say so this forum relied heavily on a number of Brexit obsessives. At one point it seemed that little else was ever being talked about. Now that it is done and in the eyes of many seeming like a bit of a car crash, such a membership will mostly wilt away into the background. The membership here was too Brexit top heavy for the good of the forum. You might disagree with that but it is just my opinion.
