I do wonder what is going on in this country, it's like we are witnessing the breakdown of law and order.
After spending some time in the nearby town a few days ago, I have some worries. A significant number of what look like escapees from a secure mental institution on the streets. A lady my wife and I have known for decades stated she is now scared when out in the town even in daylight. (She is as hard as nails so if she is scared there is something amiss.) I was not very happy myself.
Also two large rent-a-thugs (security.) at the supermarket with nearly as much as police officers including stab vests. That is only recent.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

I'd never heard of Ammanford before, now two really violent incidents in a couple of days.

Indeed we are and until respect for others and the law returns it will only get worse,

Teenage boy arrested 'following threats involving a firearm' in same town where two teachers and a student were stabbed

A teenager has been arrested following "threats involving a firearm" in the same Welsh town where hours earlier two teachers and a student were stabbed by a schoolgirl.

Dyfed-Powys Police said a warrant was executed at an address in Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, overnight and that officers had recovered a BB gun.

A police spokesman said: "An arrest has been made in the Ammanford area overnight, following threats involving a firearm.

"A warrant was executed at an address in the area, and police have recovered a BB gun.

"The teenage boy remains in police custody."

Superintendent Ross Evans later said: "We would like to thank the many members of the public who reported concerns around messages they had seen online. This allowed us to take swift action in executing a warrant and arresting a suspect.

"While this investigation is being run separately to our enquiries into the major incident at Ysgol Dyffryn Amman yesterday, our officers will be seeking to establish both the credibility of the threats, and whether there was any connection between the alleged offences.

"Again, I would urge people not to speculate, not to share any images or videos relating to either investigation, and to allow us to carry out our enquiries fully.

"If you, or your children, are distressed by these events, please seek support from an appropriate agency."

The incident happened just hours after a schoolgirl stabbed three people at 11.15am on April 24, at Amman Valley School, which is also known as Ysgol Dyffryn Aman.
The teenager has since been arrested for the attempted murder of the three individuals, Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed.

The force said in a statement: "One person has been arrested and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident."

Two teachers and a pupil have since been identified as victims, whilst another teacher has been applauded for his efforts to disarm the Year 9 pupil.

Drama and Welsh teacher Fiona Elias, and Liz Hopkin, who works with special needs students, are both "lucky to be alive" according to colleagues.

All three victims' injuries are non-life threatening.

A source told the Daily Mail: "The teacher targeted in the attack is lucky to be alive. She was stabbed in the neck, it was incredibly serious, but we have been told she will recover.

"A second teacher was also stabbed and a pupil who tried to intervene was stabbed."

During the chaos, fellow teacher Darrell Campbell managed to disarm the girl by "wrestling the knife" out of her grip. He kept her in an armlock until emergency services arrived on the scene and was not harmed whilst subduing the teenager.

Amman Valley School posted on its website: "You will be aware of the incident that has taken place at Ysgol Dyffryn Aman today.

"The family members of all injured persons have been informed. We would like to reassure parents and the public that the incident has been contained."
