OK but that surely has to be because of your medical history not just your age. My youngest is shielding because she has been told her asthma and peanut allergy combined are additional risk factors IF she catches it and IF she then gets to be in the serious category and IF she THEN needs to be pout on a ventilator..... of course, whether that instruction is correct or not remains a mystery as neither she or i had the confirmation letter. In my case it was decided merely being borderline diabetic was not serious enough but i only found that out after making a lot of noise to someone working on the letters for England...

I have been asked to stay shielded by the local GP practice until they tell me otherwise. (Whatever Boris The Clown says.)

Taking the gun out of it, do those figures refer to over seventies, or all cases?

In my specific case according to an intensive care specialist I have a 90% chance of death. (He was asked four times to make sure he has stated 90%)

Price. When every penny counts, Primark wins hands down, at least round here.

Is it really that much cheaper than George? Or the internet?

The other part of the question was, why turn up to the shop when on line buying is so easy? I was going to say that I presumed that Primark have an online portal, but they appear not to.

10% discount from "foxy ethnics" in London, but one might accidentally slip it into his tea..

£11.95 for 500 on the internet.

A very painful way to die, like you'd go blue and be in agony, foam at the mouth..

But not boring at least I guess.

We are in the same boat then. My ears are better than yours it would seem.

Well I ventured out in the spirit of rejuvenating the economy and was pretty disappointed to honest . Of half a dozen pubs I pass on the way to the shops I thought at least one of them would be doing a takeaway but alas all shut ,two of which looked terminal

Still a bacon roll outside  the café gave some meaning to the venture and replenished made my way to Harrys .  Now Harry is a Jew boy jeweller who has taken a few quid off me over the years , Im never too sure wether Im supposed to hassle a discount or accept my fate when he says that's two grand I'll let you have it for one my boy .

So to cut a long story sideways its the 40th wedding in a couple of months and the Ruby and diamond ring was ordered ,  feck me who's bright idea was it to open the shops .

I need a pint after that .

Maybe the oldies, should ,man up, play the Englishman, and pull that trigger. Die well. Do it for the economy if nothing else..?

Perhaps the government should man up and send all us over 70s a cyanide capsule by post, and pay for our funerals.

Quote from: Good old on June 15, 2020, 12:56:06 PMThis thing kills old people for fun. So what is thought to be relatively safe for the majority, will only ever be a Russian roulette situation for the old if it's  present.

The odds are much better.
5/1 against Russian Roulette
400/1 against catching the virus (so I've heard)
Then about 10/1 against dying, even if you get sick.
I'll take those odds, keep the gun.

That is the problem and why a spike in Covid 19 is inevitable.
Yes, give it a week eh, PS.

Why is Primark so popular? I heard one lady being interviewed as she was queuing at one of their stores, and she wen't on about lockdown meaning her kids clothes had worn through and this was the first opportunity that she had had to replace them. Isn't it possible to buy some clothes on line or at a supermarket?
