It has been the most monumental political struggle in these lands ever, since parliament was created. It almost broke the system.
From Jan 1st I will try to stop talking about Brexit. It's finally over, so let's get on with being as productive and create as much wealth as possible, for the people living in the UK.

Not sure brexit and its after effects will be quite over barry , but i know what you mean.

Keir starmer certainly doesnt want us talking about brexit thats for sure , or his behaviour over the last four years in parliament.

Im sure many political parties are building up the gunpowder barrels under him for the next general election .

..but aye , new year  , new dawn  , and we will see what it brings.

What worries me is you believe that.

gerry was on here yesterday bleating about playing the man not the ball to me?

Int it funny nick some of the biggest bleaters about personal attacks online are the ones who try and often dish it out.?

To be fair, Gerry is only 13 and as such is a bit sensitive.  :)

I am under some sort of instructions to remain warm and cuddly, at least until Christmas is over. I would not mind but I am having some free and frank discussions with some Yanks (I can never remember if Trump or Biden is the goodie or the baddie) and the time difference means that their Christmas is not over until 6 am tomorrow.

Christmas isn't all fun  :(

You can speak double dutch as well.

This is like the old days from years ago , me replying to posts written in the early hours of the morning.

1 week to go and people will be celebrating as the uk leaves the eu.

Agh Nick the maths genius. That suggests 45% of your food is imported as 55% is from internal avenues. That I don't believe but working with it. Of your food consumption using the numbers above 26% from EU and 19% from others that would mean of your imports nearly 58% come from the EU, is it really that high ? I thought it was down about the 40% mark, your in a worse situation than I thought.
That's going to be changing now mate.
We have just ended EU protectionism in our country.
We will buy food from cheaper sources once again.

That is even worse, that he knows nothing at all about China's poverty alleviation program, recognised internationally as being a success.

😂

I know the real China, not the one that is served up to the western world as reality.

EDIT

Just Googled it, 6 RMB per day!! That'll go a long way in downtown Shanghai.

I see we need a party that , that  speaks to ancient wishes for independent government,  whilst dishing out great chunks of socialist goodies .

England to my mind isnt a socialist country  , and anyone who thinks it is needs their head examined. So i have no idea what you are talking about "dishing out socialist goodies".

Not to mention the fact "a party that speaks for independent governemnt"?

Im not sure what you mean , but no left wing socialist self hating enblish party will ever out tory the tories or right in terms of being seen to represent england and self governance. This has been pointe dout all my life , how labour and the general english left have a mountain to climb in terms of the perception they hate england and the english people.

You are delusional.

QuoteFarage is such a solid Tory, in every respect outside of an uncompromising hatred of the EU that if we are left with him or  the Tories ,

Well it certainly looks like it , as labour and the english left have a feckin electoral mountain to climb as everyone knows.

Keir starmer has labour a point behind the tories in the latest survation poll , and this to my and everyones elses mind is a dmaning indictment not just of starmer and labour , but the whole english left.

We have a guy in charge of the uk at present who is a bumbling fool , cancels christmans for the english after promising them five days of normality , made a hash of covid , and all the rest , yet the english left are no where to be seen.

Maybe just maybe as i keep saying the english public  cannot stand the left in england for all the reasons i have said to you over recent weeks. Your whole public perception is shocking.

QuoteLook you keep telling us what  is happening in a country that is hell bent on rejecting all politics  English.

there are english politicians in the snp. Mike russell was born in kent , what are you talking about?

The english arent my enemy or the snp , its the british we have a problem with. Your problem isnt my country or the snp , its the way the left have treated the english people , and still refuse to accept the english peoples wish to leave the eu.

Sort out your own house mate before lecturing me . Your own backyard is where your main problems are.

QuoteThe Poll you show has huge limitations for giving an all round assessment of how Englishmen and women, will be thinking in coming years.

no you are diverting and trying to muddy my point , which is you status quoers who are constantly teeling us all how the british political system cannot be beat so we have to vote labour to keep out the tories is patently bollocks. The snp broke it , and ukip/brexit party would have broken it had the tories not jumped on the brexit bandwagon , and ukip/brexit party might still do if the tories betray england.

The utter mess johnson has things in , and still the english left , unlike competent parties and politicians in scotland  like sturgeon and snp who have johnson whipped , still cannot take advantage leaves me speechless.

The english left are a joke , and have been for years , relying on scotland and wales holding their hand , now that hand is withdrawn , you are no where to be seen.

QuoteAnyway, Happy Christmas, and a better New Year Thomas,

and to you and your family.

hope its shite for labour though.... ;D
