::) Why? Because soon it will be be illegal to describe someone as a "man" and our leaders will have to be "non binary"?
No nothing to do with with the leader being a man........or woman.
Its the term strong man that usually has connotations of someone like Mosley,Franco or indeed Putin.

QuoteSo yes, Cromwell, I would rather see a "strong" leader in charge than continue with the kind of stomach turning pinko politics we currently have.
Well there's nothing wrong with someone leading the country who has the resolution to take things through but respects alternatives and dissent and is like none of the above.

QuoteSorry, that's who I am
Yes I know who you are and only surmise why because of what you've said.

Quote I will not apologize for it to you or anyone else

You know borkie , in among your sarcasm  , the sad thing is what you are saying is true.

When londons face was turned to continental europe and the trenches ,the irish had hard men like michael collins kicking you british out and making ireland independent.

We have a bitter twisted woman consumed with hatred for her former mentor , a club 18-30 holiday rep who left govan high school to sell holidays to tenerife before becoming a career politician and now sounds of about "defence" , and the creepy sugar daddy alyn smith.

Hundreds of years back we had the protestant taliban leading us to the disaster of dunbar , and thier warped religious ideology. Today , we have the transgender taliban , and thier woke ideology , leading us nowhere.

Sturgeons new snp is now the redmondite irish party of the 21 st century , while scotland is waiting for a scottish sinn fein to come along and take us to indy.

Come to think about it , im rather pissed off with vlad today. Sturgeon has been having a melt down recently over the end of covid , and the ability to hide her transgressions as she has done for the last two years behind the chinese sniffles.

The latest excuse for no indy ref will be war in ukraine.

No need to worry about your back yard in "norf britain" at the minute. All is safe for the empire in the hands of nicola sturgeon.

She is probably the best thing to happen for london in scotland since the days of the feeble fifty labour mps.

To be fair Tommy, at least your politics are interesting. Down south all we have is we Boris getting regular kickings but still hanging on, while Starmer stumbles glumly around trying to turn the brothers and sisters in Blair's Social Democrats Mark II.

Harmless, but quiet.

Right now I am in the middle of an internet row with fellow allotment holders as to whether or not to chit potatoes. And to be honest, that is more exciting than the stuff coming out of Whitehall :)

Meanwhile, millions of Russians see a strong leader, no matter what you think of him.

I would describe Russia's strength as being its traditional values.  I wouldn't trust him one bit, but he isn't part of the western agenda, and so he wants his people to be strong, despite his authoritarianism.  Our own authoritarian leaders are just getting started, and they won't stop until we stop them.

Isnt that the  truth.

After the political events of the last decade in these islands , i would think it hard for anyone to try and defend the broken system we are all living under.

I wonder which banana republic we can compare ourselves to that holds referendums and then refuses to implement them with all the puerile excuses.

Labours 40 % rule in scotland in 1979 , human rights abuses in the sectarian northern irish statelet , we could go on. I think we all get the picture.

In the race to the bottom of democracy , some take pride in being marginally better allegedly than putins russia.???

Welcome to the NWO global agenda. You sound a bit racist or are you just confused about your gender?

Sooner or later the SNP will get a leader who will stand on the border and scream that Scotland is now an independent nation and that to celebrate every freeborn Scot will get a new frock and six pack of Irn Bru. And the government at Westminster will say, oh.

Putin on the other hand, would send in the army.

The majority, however, are not.
Well if that's what the majority want then they'll get their way won't they.

QuoteI do sometimes wish grandad had f**ked off to Rhodesia with the rest of the family. Because he wasted his time developing radar for this shithole bunch of leftard snowflakes and chancers.

Well where would you be now then in South Africa but disgruntled there too at the turn around of who was running the show or back here like so many who didn't like the turn of events in post colonial Africa.

He should have taken mum and buggered off in the fifties when he was going to, and I should have fuckrd off to Finland, or Australia, when I was presented with those options.
What makes you think Australia would be so different? And Finland were as of yesterday along with Sweden scrabbling for full membership of NATO instead of associate fearing what Putins next move might be.
QuoteHe and I when our time came were conned as grandad was. We all felt this shithole a country and a way of life worth fighting for. Well we were well out over a barrel and taken up the shitter there, weren't we.
Well John you like me have had our time and it's ok to come on here like Statler and Waldorf and rant and rave but it's for another generation who may curse us for what they inherit and us them for how they see things differently.
And so life goes on. :)

Yes I can see your reasoning,or at least some of it,however if you think all available politicians liars then you need to form a party that represents what you want.

Tried that three ways. Nearly got my deposit pack the third time, the other two, who were far more moderate in the eyes of the establishment, failed abysmally.

Why is it all so complicated?  🤔  Some people compare Putin and the west in terms of strength and power, some people look at who to trust and what their agenda is, and some ask which has a better society to live under.  I think strength is connected to agenda, because in the west, the agenda of control includes making people weak and dependent.  The western world is increasingly being controlled by an elite, who want weak individuals.  They are easily as dangerous to us, as Putin is to his people or to us.  Our own leaders do not have our best interests at heart.  This is a problem, because you have to ask who is the real enemy, and who can you trust?  There are pros and cons of Russia being outside the western agenda.  They keep our elite in check, which is all a bit f**ked up.  🥴

Perhaps. But we live in a society that once went to war against the horrors of the concentration camp and the extermination of whole races. Now we live in society that wants to cancel JK Rowling because she won't pander to modern liberal "theories" about who are "victims" and who are oppressors

Anyway, the Russians suffered disproportionately in that war. I would think they understand a bit about suffering and the importance of leadership. Lets see how it plays out, eh. Whether our system is "better" or not is a matter of perspective. Back then we had people who felt belonging to our country and fought for it, yet today I would hazard that few people feel any real loyalty to this country at all. The only fight you see them involved in at the airport will probably be at the bar :D

Meanwhile, millions of Russians see a strong leader, no matter what you think of him.
