Nae offence wiggy , but all you dae is jab yer wee fat knuckles at the keyboard and pound away a load of auld shite . The scottish nhs has its problems , and of course through the idiotic way funding is made its only going to get worse until we can manage our own affairs , but under the current terms of devolution we are outperforming your country time and again.

This isnt any slight to the hard working people in english nhs trusts .....far from it , more of a dig at folk like you and your woefull government.

...and as an extreme hard right winger , you must know anyone with any sense from your political background would normally steer clear of talking down your nhs , as the public in england never mind elsehwere dont have any time for you .poll after poll shows the popualrity of the nhs , and recognition of the public by the hardship faced by workers within the various organisations under westminster governments and their cut throat funding.

The four NHS's are well funded, there are just many people using it, and people are living to long. Perhaps if we made people over the age of 70 fund their own health care the NHS would be far more efficient

Applauding the workers, why would it anger you that people are appreciative of the work being carried out by nurses and other care staff?

I know nothing of the health services in scotland or northern ireland.

In England, a GP refused to treat me as he declared my case not urgent and sent me away.

I passed out doing 75 in the fast lane trying to get to.my GP. The policeman I narrowly missed crashing into as the car rolled off the motorway up.the embankment was quite considerate really. He took me the last 18 miles with all his lights on while his mate followed driving my car.

In wales, I went blind waiting for a cataract operation, as did my brother and two of my friends  I also haven't had a followup to the glaucoma clinic. It's been four years now.

Do you "wish " it to be worse , and are merely saying so , or can you prove it is worse by supplying links?

The scottish health service is good , but it has its problems john. No matter the devloved government controls it , because of the way funding is based , which relys on public spending in england rather than affordability from the tax base in scotland , then as england privatises more , so the knock on effect will damage scotlands nhs( and wales/northern ireland).

However i was merely responding to daft wiggles. I think despite their faults all four nations nhs , while they could be better , are still some of the best in the world.

IF you are going to have coronavirus , as i said a while back to cromwell , better to have it in england scotland wales or northern ireland than some third world shithole.

QuoteScotland's NHS has lessons for the rest of the UK

The unique strengths of Scotland's NHS, in particular the way it improves quality and safety, could be undermined by serious financial pressure over the next few years.

I think you will find that the Scottish NHS has an even worse record than ours, and that's saying something. Of course, if it has Scottish as a prefix I suppose your going to love it regardless. Anyway, your wrong. Pop over to the Forum Box and you will find several people with a similar opinion to myself. Regrettably many people believe that the answer to a poor NHS is simply throwing money at it, and that couldn't be further than the truth. Regardless of the fact the NHS is a public service, it needs to be run  as a business with the emphasis on customer satisfaction. Unfortunately it is constantly as a political weapon with little interest in it's supposed purpose. We also need to stop seeing doctors and nurses as angels, and start judging them by their ability to carry out their work. There are many reasons we the UK has failed to control COVID, but we have chosen to ignore the fact clinical negligence may be one of them

QuoteScotland's NHS outperforms the rest of the UK – here's why
[/u][/b]

QuoteThe evidence available for comparison suggests that the Scottish Government's approach to health service management – having a greater ratio of healthcare spending and resources to demand and overall population, as well as providing better GP access to lesson the pressure on hospitals – has made the Scottish health service more effective than that of the rest of the UK.

This has spared Scotland of a health crisis of the severity seen across the rest of the UK. But because of Scotland's limited finances due to the impact of austerity on its devolved government, and a severely limited ability to control national economic policy, it is still constrained when it comes to protecting health services. So long as austerity guides the decision-making of the UK, Scotland's health service will continue to be pressured. Independence, therefore, offers the Scottish Government the tools and flexibility to prioritise addressing health care issues and improving health and wellbeing in Scotland
