Although I haven't visited our offices in Beijing, Hong Kong, and Shanghai for over two years, I talk fairly frequently with people from them. And from these conversations, I can evaluate the accuracy and relevance of news about China in our media, most of which seems reasoned and not hysterical — plus none of the West's news media is liable to be shut down because it carries critical reports, or doesn't follow the party line...

There's enough information coming out out of Hong Kong, Wuhan, Xijiang to understand that President for life, is running a country of censorship and mass surveillance. There's a deterioration in human rights, with the cult of personality developing around him, and the removal of term limits for the leadership under his tenure.

Like Mao, Xi's thoughts
have been incorporated into the party and state constitutions...

Well there is certainly a lot of bollocks being spread by people that have usually not been within a thousands of any of the places they are making allegations about.
We have NED funded propaganda being spread by the US and shills re Xinjiang, we have fringe nutjobs writing fantasy conspiracy theories about Wuhan, which are being trumpted somehow as proof by people that also marginalise genuine globally recognised experts.
Now if you want to talk to me about Hong Kong, come on Patsy, give it your best shot. Its my second home afterall.
Poor US, it must so disheartened after paying all good money, to have had such a poor result, no PLA troops on the streets, no killings, no shootings. Just a New National Security Law that contains pretty much the same provisions as does the US National Security Law.
So what happened to all the predictions of mass round ups and deportations and up to 300,000 new asylum seekers? Less than 100 arrested under the act and about 400 have left the territory officially asking for asylum. Few of which have come to this country anyway.
The real bad news for them however is that many have found themselves listed as potential criminals by the Immigration Services of Western Nations- oops.

This is a very good summary from Daniel Dumbrill at a panel discussion regarding the West;s narrative on Xinjiang and its motives in promoting it.
Quite comprehensive and very well presented.

I did post this in an earlier thread, but I will put it here as well.
Yes it is a satire, but the information and the official US Government report is real.
It shows that Fort Detrick (US main bio weapon research lab) was closed down by Federal Order in July 2019
That it was closed down due to a leak of Toxic Biological Substances
That there were outbreaks of unidentified respiratory diseases in the vicinity starting in June 2019 and that autopsy reports on the fatalities have never been made public by the CDC
Add this to what is already known about widespread infection with Covid by mid Autumn 2019, I think a pretty damning picture is becoming quite clear.
This video is indeed satire, but official reaction to the facts within it and by contrast, the jumping on the flimsy and downright fraudulent claims regarding the Wuhan Lab, transcends satire entirely.

Lets ignore the facts from the ground and trust instead in the US based and finance hate groups and hit groups that interview a few dozen will primed and also US funded "activists" and who have never set foot in the province.

Maybe it is simply that many Uighurs are increasingly secular in their outlook and really do not want to live under the rule of a US funded "East Turmenistan" version of ISIS or the Taliban, which is exactly what US promoted "freedom and democracy" appears to be.

Anyway, this guy is Han Chinese who grew up in Xinjiang and he shows videos from Uighur girls (clearly from upper middle class families) that are a million miles from the Islamic stereotype promoted by the Wahhibi's next door in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Chai Ling is now a Christian woman living in a democratic country. She couldn't change China, so she got out and made herself a better life. Says a lot, really.

This is a very old interview from 1989 from one of the most high profile leaders of the Students protest movement.
You should watch this....

My respect for Daniel Dumbrill grows ever stronger. In this video he goes head to head with real Uighur activists and militants and shows very clearly and concisely, that these are indeed fully indoctrinated Wahhibi Jihadists and that the kind of Genocide being alleged in Xinjiang today, would become a very stark reality, if they were able to take control.

You should watch this, as this is not about yet another subversion/regime change operation against yet another poor developing nation, but an attempt to do against a genuine superpower and if it is actually attempted, one that could return very significant blowback.

The next installment from Daniel Dumbrill, this time visiting a Uighur school. Its clear that the kids are reading and writing in their own language, as well as learning Mandarin and English. No shortage of local culture either.

Spose it was a false flag cyber attack from spoofed IPs, SPV.  ;)

The Belgian parliament was trying to discuss the Chinese human rights issues at the time.
