i dont advocate you vote anything. I politely point out to your fellows on this forum , as if they need reminding , whatever the tories faults , and they are many , starmer will take you back into the EU and england will be a laughing stock.

And I point out that . The only way this country could even consider going back into the EU is if Brexit brings disaster . Even in those circumstances it is nowhere near a certainty. Now up where you live , you get independence from the union with the rest of the isle, and little miss muffet, and the SNP will beg their way back in it.
So I find your concern laughable. You support the SNP. Promise independence, a better world for it, country at least, and freebes in the traditional socialist manner. Copying the very things you say you hate.

Independence is about governing your own affairs nothing more. You stand or fall by your own decisions . A truism 200 nations of the world take for granted.

Wether brexit was good or bad , your own people told you time and again you cant put a price on englands freedom.

Its not me you need to argue with over brexit , its the millions in your own country , including millions of former labour voters , you have to convince to allow starmer to take you back in .

Wether scotland is in or out the eu , or england is in or out , it wont make any difference to my politics , but could make all the difference to labour becoming a government in england.

im not asking for a pure world , or expecting better politics. My needs and wants are much simpler , and none of them involve voting for the labour party.

And that's because I am not prepared to approach my politics as if any party , or PM, is ever going to be so perfect they don't use a certain amount of smoke and mirrors ,toy with the truth of situations. Which means it's always a degree of sham.
That doesn't mean I can not discern who the bigger sham is, and if it should ever be the case that we just say get on with it as some seem to advocate ,then my right to any sort of say is down the drain.
There are few who can claim to not have been a hypocrite at some time, or indeed in their day to day life. Told lies. it's a matter of degrees ,but it all adds up to the fact that we all take part in a sham.
